FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER

Our kitchen is NOT an allergen-free kitchen. We cannot guarantee that our products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies. We do recognise the seriousness of food allergies and we recommend that you let us know before placing your order about any food sensitivities or allergies. We reserve the right to decline any orders for clients with serious food allergies. We will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to our products.

The following ingredients are used in our kitchen:

Milk and other dairy products, eggs, nuts, wheat and gluten.

FRESH FLOWERS

You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. If fresh flowers are requested then we will work alongside our chosen florist to match as near as we can to your type and colour palette for your special day. Please note, flowers are seasonal. When necessary we will advise faux flowers. For example, while gyp is a popular choice it is toxic and cannot be put on or near to food products and so in this case we would advice the use of faux flowers.

TRAVELLING WITH THE CAKE

From our experience we would advise that the best way for a cake to travel is on a flat surface such as the boot or footwell with no objects near-by that could fall onto the cake. However, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves our possession.

DELIVERY POLICY

We do not offer delivery for celebration cakes or cupcakes. However, we do offer delivery for wedding cakes within a 20 mile radius of BD23 3BL. Any delivery charges will be explained at the time of ordering and will be included on the invoice. Please note that all 2 and 3 tier wedding cakes must be delivered. Once delivery and setup is complete we are no longer responsible for the cake. It is your responsibility to provide a secure table and environment for the cake.

STORAGE

We advise that you store your cake in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight and not close to any heat sources. Buttercream cakes are served best at room temperature. However, during periods of warm weather we may advise to store in a fridge. However, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves our possession.

CHANGES TO YOUR ORDER

Please contact us as early as possible to make any changes to your order. We require at least 6 weeks' notice for wedding cakes and 2 weeks’ notice is required for celebration cakes and cupcakes. Any changes may be subject to changes in cost depending on the design details.

COLOURS AND DESIGN

Whilst you may choose to provide your own example pictures and colour palette we will always advise if this is possible and create as nearest to your requirements. Please understand that all cake makers use different materials, colourings and technique and that our cakes will not look like someone else's design.

NON-EDIBLE ITEMS

All of our cakes have some sort of inedible item included. This can be our inedible toppers, fresh florist flowers and including our centre dowels that go through all our cakes to ensure their form is held. Please remove all inedible items before consumption of cake.

PHOTOS

We photograph all our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation by the customer: If the order is cancelled, your deposit is non-refundable.

For weddings if you cancel less than 6 weeks before your wedding date (after full payment has made) we will not be able to provide a refund. For celebration cakes and cupcakes a minimum of 1 weeks' notice is required. This is to cover monies lost as will have turned away other business for your order, it is very unlikely we could re-fill the date at such short notice.

Cancellation by Chloe's Cakes: We will give as much notice as possible if we are unable to fulfil your order. We will endeavour to find someone else who can produce your order and will refund you any monies already paid.

Postponements: In the event that you wish to postpone your wedding please let us know as soon as possible, your previous booking will be considered cancelled and will be subject to the cancellation policy above. We can then confirm availability for any new proposed date. New bookings will be subject to any price increases since the original booking was made. Any monies paid over the booking fee will be carried over to your new date.

ACCEPTANCE OF CAKE

No responsibility can be taken by Chloe's Cakes for any subsequent damage once the cake has been handed over to the customer or venue. We will not be liable should the customer believe there are any problems with the cake once it has been collected or delivered.
